Heute unternahmen wir zusammen mit Joe's Tochter Mary einen Ausflug in den Rocky Mountain National Park.
Zuerst machten wir einen kurzen Stopp an kleinem Fluß wo Mary, Joe und Lotti versuchten über einen Baumstamm zu balancieren, wobei Lotti unfreiwillig ein erfrischendes Bad in dem Fluss nehmen durfte!

Rocky Mountain National Park - Gipfel, Wasserfälle und großartige Ausblicke
Obwohl es viele Möglichkeiten gibt, dieses Gebirge kennenzulernen – die attraktivste ist immer noch der Besuch des 1915 gegründeten Nationalparks. Der Park ist bekannt für seine Ausblicke auf die gewaltige Gebirgskette der Rocky Mountains sowie der Tier- und Pflanzenwelt.
Der Park umfasst über 110 Gipfel mit mehr als 3.000 m Höhe. 72 Berge ragen sogar höher als 3.600m auf. Höchster Berg im Park ist der „Longs Peak“ mit 4.345 m. Doch der Nationalpark bietet viel mehr als nur Gipfel.
Mehr als 250 Quadratkilometer des Parks zählen zur alpinen Tundra, eine Landschaft oberhalb der Baumgrenze.
Although there are many ways to get to know this mountain - the most attractive one is still the visit to the National Park, founded in 1915. The park is known for its views of the mighty mountain range of the Rocky Mountains as well as the flora and fauna. The park has over 110 peaks more than 3,000 meters high. 72 mountains tower even higher than 3.600m. Highest mountain in the park is the "Longs Peak" with 4.345 m. But the national park offers much more than just summits. More than 250 square kilometers of the park are part of the alpine tundra, a landscape above the tree line.
